David Xuhui Li, LAc, is a New York State licensed acupuncturist and board-certified Chinese herbalist with over 30 years of clinical experience. He began his formal education in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1982 at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, one of China’s top institutions for TCM training. He began his practice in the United States in 1993, working for five years at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City as a certified surgical technologist before establishing his own acupuncture clinic in Brooklyn in 1996. He opened his current modern facility in 2008. David is a pioneer in bringing acupuncturists into mainstream New York State No-Fault and Worker’s Compensation facilities, having been instrumental in this effort since the late 1990s. In addition to his clinical work, he has served as a professor at the American International Acupuncture Institute, teaching acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He is a member of the United Alliance of New York State Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA) and has served as a board member of the American Alliance for Professional Acupuncture Safety (AAPAS). His practice specializes in pain management, addiction rehabilitation, and integrative Traditional Chinese Medicine.
